I’ve just posted a draft PyCon proposal to the PEAK Wiki; I’d be interested in feedback from anyone interested in the subject. Are there any topics missing from the outline that you’d like to see? Conversely, am I belaboring the obvious in it? The deadline for the proposal is Friday, but I’m probably going to send it in Thursday evening at the latest, so comment soon if you think I should change the proposal. (Not that I can’t still make changes to the plan later, if I get comments later.) Thanks!

x<>0? People still use that convention? 🙂
I would like to see this, but I’m in Brazil, with no chance to go to PyCon. It will be recorded, so we can see it at our home?
I think a definition of “generic function” would be helpful.

The wikipedia helped me, but I think many folks won’t already know this term and won’t be able to do a wikipedia lookup during your talk. This concept is central to the whole point of your presentation.
“””It will be recorded, so we can see it at our home?”””
Probably not. But, I will publish the slides, and maybe a paper as well.
“””I think a definition of “generic function” would be helpful.”””
Actually, there’s one in the outline, second major item under Part 2: “Collection of Rules == Generic Function”. That’s not really the best definition of a generic function, obviously, and I will be spelling that out more at that point in the talk.
