Everything’s ready, I think. I hope. The presentation slides are up. I’m almost packed. I’ve got dried meat and other provisions ready. The laptop appears ready to go, and I’m actually posting this from the laptop. It’s my wife’s laptop, and although I’ve used it for trips before, I’ve never taken it intending to do software development, so I had quite a lot to install, configure, and copy to get it set up.
It looks like Bob Ippolito and I will be sprinting on a Python Eggs implementation on Sunday. Bob already implemented a draft runtime some time ago, so we’ll probably focus on creating a “bdist_egg” command, and maybe brainstorm about the next level up, to implement Eclipse-style “feature distributions” and “update sites” for applications.
My plane leaves at 6:15AM, so I’m going to have to get some sleep soon. But first, I have to figure out how to fit all this stuff into a carry-on and a laptop bag. Wish me luck.
